This is a nice pot but has 2 knocks against it. The first is that it doesn't work on an induction top, which is stated in the description and why I bought it. The second is that it only reasonably holds about 4 gallons. You could get 5 gallons if the pot was filled to the brim, so technically it is a 5 gal pot.However, the handles are securely fastened to the pot and the top is well constructed as well. I have no complaints for its use as a pot and works fine for brewing.So, if you need induction this pot is a no-go, but if you need a 4 gallon pot for an electric or gas range, then it would be great.
