In the backdrop of the presidential election, four men drag a black student through the woods before lynching him from a barren tree. Detective Haven and FBI Agent Long are brought in to solve the crime. While interrogating students about the lynching they discover something more sinister – a culture of abuse and racism protected by the highest levels.
