This Granny has cooked for many long years, and based on my experience there is only one negative thing I can say about this pot. I didn’t find it long, long ago. Because I’ve cooked most of my life doesn’t mean I like to cook or am good at it. But, honestly this little pot has changed that. It never leaves my stovetop. Now, the why. I use it for frying, which I normally rarely do because I HATE cleaning up all that oil/grease spatter, which is no longer an issue with this pot.. I use it to boil pasta, and cook just about everything from soups/stews to tenderloin, fish and chicken. It is ingenious, from the shape of the pot, (a bit taller than a traditional frypan) to the curve of the sides, (a little steeper and well-shaped, and that lid !! It takes a little getting used to closing carefully, but cooks my food better, with much LESS oil, helps prevent boil-over of my pasta, and is great for cooking nearly everything. It has a good base, appropriate for the item, is easy to clean up. Other reviewers mention the edge of the lid. I did notice that a little more roll along the rim might be safer, but as someone who terrifies my family every single time I pick up something sharp, I can say I haven’t managed to cut myself, and don’t expect to. Finally, I guess the best rating I can give is that I bought one for Christmas, for my daughter (who is a great cook) and will probably do so for others of my talented-cooking kids. (I guess they all learned to cook so well in self-defense :)
