It works just as advertised and does it well. Plug is nice and thick gauge.If you like your coffee or espresso really piping hot, then this is for you,because it is really ?. Only can use 10oz of water at a time for either 1 cup of coffee or several espressos .Just be careful, because the bottom half gets really hot and you can hurt yourself.Top half gets hot too because that's where the liquid ends up ,but the bottom is way hotter.When finished brewing the top half isn't easy to unscrew to clean,but you have to make it tight when brewing so it doesn't leak. I had no leaks but I might be tightening my top half too tight.3 ?s for how dangerously hot the bottom half gets.DO NOT have this anywhere near where children or animals can reach it.When done, shut it off and unplug it,don't wait for the 10 minute timer to shut it off. I say this because I would never leave this unattended ,especially when in use.All that being said ,it makes a wonderfully great fresh tasting cup of coffee ,it really is worth it in the end, because the coffee taste fabulous and it's piping hot,just the way Iike it !
