pot luck is a great re-issue of an old vee jay recording. 14 great tracks recorded around '60 and '61, played with the most influential jazz musicians of our times. lee morgan, wayne shorter, paul chambers, philly joe jones. can a person ask for anything more? as a leader wynton kelly appears quite a home and not over-bearing. not that it would be a bad thing. everyone has the space to play. i highly recommend this cd if you are a fan of bop and appreciate the musicianship of the players. a great buy.
