I would like to start off by saying that I have an 8 quart instant pot and a 3 quart instant pot. I’m sure most people out there have the standard 6 quart instant pot. Since this handle fits perfectly on both of my instant pots, I’m sure it’ll fit just fine on the 6 quart as well. After reading some of the bad reviews on here regarding its use with an instant pot, I was hesitant to try these out, but they were cheap enough, so I decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did. I cook often, I am good at it, and I have high standards when it comes to my kitchen tools. I use lots of different pots and pans on a daily basis, but my instant pots gets used at least once a week. I love my instant pot, but the reason I don’t use it more often is because I find it annoying that when I am stirring, the inner pot spins around and I have to hold it down in order for it to stay put, hence why I bought these handles... let me be clear; I do not use these handles to lift my inner pot out of the cooker like some other people have tried; if that is what you want it for, then this item is not for you; and you should probably take a refresher course on gravity, because if you think you can lift a big heavy pot with less than 1 square inch of surface area, you should probably stay out of the kitchen so you don’t hurt yourself... But if your goal is to keep your inner pot from moving around, these handles are excellent. It is so much easier and less frustrating to sauté/stir items in the instant pot now! The handle is easy to put on, super secure, and feels comfortable and sturdy when you’re holding onto it. Another issue that I saw in the reviews was that there wasn’t enough of a lip on the inner pot to secure this item. I don’t know what people are talking about… It fits perfectly and when it’s in place, the inner pot remains in full contact with the heating element and you can still freely spin around the inner pot if you like... it’s easier to put the handle on an empty pot and then start cooking, rather than trying to do it when the pot is full, but it’s not hard to do it that way either... when it comes time to put the lid on and pressure cook, this item easily comes off. I highly recommend this item if you are as frustrated as I was about the inner pot spinning. I have put these handles in the top rack of the dishwasher multiple times without any problems. I haven’t owned them for a long time, but they don’t look like they’re going to fall apart; perhaps some people got some defective units... All I can say is that this was money well spent for my purposes… I wanted to take the time to write this review, not because I’m in love with this company or anything, but rather because this is a cheap and simple solution to my instant pot problems, and I don’t want people to be steered away because people who have reviewed this badly don’t know how to use a handle... they are probably the same kind of people that give foreign movies a bad rating because they have to read subtitles, or people who give good kitchen knives a bad rating because they’re too sharp... Buy this; you won’t regret it...Great item to have in the kitchen. Bought it to help the air Fryer pan that came with the toaster oven. Very versatile we even use it to remove hot bowls from the microwaveThe tongs were in dirty packaging. Then the spring in one of the tongs popped out when I unlatched it for the first time. I bought the tongs to lift small pans and bowls from the basket of my air fryer without tipping them over. Maybe it's me, but I had problems getting a good grip on a pan so I had to go back to the pot holder. You have to hold the tongs at an awkward angle (upside down). Wouldn't purchase again. It works great to grip the little pot with little handles that I bought it for. Only problem is the pot is short so I have to clamp the handle on upside down, otherwise it won’t clear the stove and tips the pot. This is perfect to use with the instant pot, counter top ovens or even your full size oven. Makes it extremely easy to remove hot pans or dishes that don’t have handles and are difficult to hold onto with pot holders. It’s a very useful tool to accompany a pot holder.I suggest using the tool to grab the pan or dish, then keep a pot holder in the other hand to support the underside, helpful on larger dishes/pans.I love these tongs so much. I am getting rid of my oven pads & mitts. So sturdy and easy to use. You must have these. The rubber pads failed once and my pyrex plate of hot food almost fell.....use with careNo more potholders. Like them great for grabbing a pizza out of the oven too. Thank you JonWorks great with my instant potgoodThey have been very useful in safely retrieving hot pans from my Instant Pot.
