I was in need for a pot for canning this summers bounty from my garden. I went to my local Big Box store and purchased a canner only to discover I can't use it on a glass stove. Enter Amazon - I knew I could find what I needed. This pot is deep enough for pints and quart jars. It's made well and I hope to have it for years to come! My stove is glass top and has only 9.5 inch wide burners - most pressure canners and large stockpots are too wide for my burners but this does the job perfectly!I bought this pot to start off my caning hobby. I needed a smaller diameter pot to fit my very old electric stove top and this pot fits my needs perfectly. I've used it a few times and so far it meets all of my expectations perfectly! The only downside is that the handles are tack welded instead of riveted, but as of now, this is not an issue. Very good quality for a very good price.works finePerfect! My wife loves them! Top-notch quality and design.I have owned a Vollrath stock pot for over thirty years. My pot has welded handles and after 30 plus years they are as sturdy as ever. I use this pot for making soups and stews in quantity to can for winter use. I do use a flame diffuser under my pot, as I think any pot may have a hot spot from time to time. I am ordering one for my granddaughter who just got married.
