I hadn't heard much about this toner, so I decided to take a chance with it seeing as how I had recently cut all my hair off for a disconnected pixie I had been longing for, which was the perfect time to rebleach to the lightest shade I could go and give it a whirl.Once I got a pale yellow (almost white with light yellow hues), I let my hair air dry completely after using some clarifying shampoo. I didn't bother with a tint brush while applyting this toner due to its jelly consistency, so I sectioned off my hair into quadrants and ran it through my strands among each section. I took a very fine-toothed comb through my hair to even it all out.I used only half of the pot due to my hair being real short, but I applied enough to fully saturate each strand. Left it on for 1hr and 30mins, then rinsed to find my hair pratically white with silver hues. Almost all of the light yellow tones was gone, and the tips of my hair were even a very pale lilac shade (which washed out after a couple washes a week later). It lasts about a week for me, sometimes two depending on if I wash my hair often (which I don't normally need to really do).Needless to say, I was very pleased with this product as a toner. Sure, it doesn't do maximum toning like the Wella T18 would, but it does work well enough to use every week without any damage done to my bleached hair (which I want to avoid) -- you can't use the T18 unless you add in a developer, which is damaging if used a lot to constantly tone. I've already bought a few more pots to stock up on, and will likely buy several more to keep as back-ups.I definitely like it much more than the Manic Panic Virgin Snow, but I would say the SFX mixer/toner works just a smidge better than this one (and lasts a bit longer). I'd still recommend it.PROS:- isn't tested on animals- doesn't damage hair no matter how long you leave it on, even after bleaching- has a nice jelly feel that is easy to apply- conditions the hair and leaves it soft after rinsing- easy to follow, clear directions- can be applied by hands without a tint brush if you want- has a nice light smell that isn't overwhelming - does not irritate the scalp- no extra products or ingredients needed- works well on very light hair to tone out any yellowness- comes in a thick jar/pot that is hard to break or damageCONS:- 88ml of product in a small jar/pot, so those with long and thick hair will most likely need another to get an all-over application- products needs to be scooped out- no mention of the specific shade or type of product on the jar aside from the small manual attached to the lid (most will remove it, so it's best to write the shade on the lid if you're like me and get confused with numerous dyes)- does not last as long as other brands, even if I don't wash often----------PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BUYING:Due to the color of this product in person being a lilac shade, your hair needs to be close to the same color as the inside of a banana peel (very pale yellow that is level 10 hair, or at the least a pale level 9) for this to have a really noticeable effect that will give you the results that it advertises itself as: white. It works best on platinum hair that has real light yellow hues for maximum effect. If your hair is blonde but it has obvious golden yellow or bright orange/brassy hues, it's not going to cancel it all out and give you white. Even if you get a deeper colored purple toner (or you make your own), it won't give you white. Color can't lift color, only cancel it out (so you would get maybe a sandy, beige colored blonde, just not as brassy). If you want white with this specific Directions White Toner, bleaching again to the lightest shade will be necessary.-----------Bombest blue ever!! (Just the fringe not the beard). Starts out electric dark & gets brighter with each wash. Strong thick pigment with no hint of turquoise, just pure blue. Found my dream dye!Purchased the Silver toner. Don't be alarmed when you open it, the toner itself is a very bright blue. The container is actually pretty small, much smaller than a comparable Manic Panic brand container. That was a bit disappointing, but I'm not hip to "milliliters" and should have checked that bit first. My bad. To add insult to injury, when I opened the package, I got a little too overzealous and the container flew out and broke open all over the floor. However, it cleaned up spotlessly. This actually works pretty well. As mentioned before, I was working with quite a bit less product than anticipated (I salvaged what I could!). I have black-ish hair and have grey highlights that had gone a bit yellowish over time (or "skunky" as one of my co-workers called it). Didn't want to go back to the stylist and pay another $90 for a re-tone. Applied the toner, waited 45ish minutes, and it worked pretty well. Still look a little skunky in parts but if I had enough for a second application it would have done the trick. If you've tried the Manic Panic toner, this works much better. I tried the Manic Panic version a week before and saw little to no change at all. This is a much cheaper and comparable option to seeing my stylist every few weeks.I bleached my (short) hair once from medium brown, yielding the super brassy, orange-y result (I have a lot of red in my hair naturally, which is what always makes this a problem). I used half the container of the toner to see what it would do to that level, and there wasn't much of a change. I then bleached it again a week later, yielding a really light gold color. I used the second half of this toner on my hair the next morning, and it definitely evened out and was less shiny-gold. It's now almost like a white-gold color, and I really like it! My goal was platinum, but I'm going to wait longer to see if I want to put my hair through a third bleaching cycle (it feels strong and healthy after two, still, but I also take really good care of it, aside). I now rely on AG sterling shampoo, and lightly toned conditioner. I'll likely order this again, if I do end up bleaching a third time, as I will want half for toning and half for mixing in with a plain conditioner.I live in the states, so I can only get Directions online. After hearing extraordinary things about Directions, I had to get it. It is good dye, but I don't think it was worth the money to get the dye from UK for several reasons. 1) It is significantly smaller than any other dye bottle you would get from companies like Raw, Manic Panic, and my personal favorite - Punky Colours. 2) It seems to rub on stuff like my pillows and clothes more than any dye I have ever used. 3) It even feels of lesser quality. 4) And this might only be because I am used to the candy-like smell of Punky Colour, but it smells pretty dang bad. There were some good things though. 1) It lasted significantly longer than Splat and Manic Panic. I would say it lasted after 5 shampoos before going to a teal color. 2) The air shipping was amazing! It wasn't expected to be here for 20 more days and it got here yesterday!!! So happy! Also, it was very nicely packaged with foam and "fragile" tape so it wouldn't be damaged. Overall, service is amazing, but not a huge fan of the product since I live in the States.I used Rubine mixed with a good dollop of Rose Red. My hair is light brown with very light blonde natural streaks and I have bleach on my lengths.I like Directions and Crazy Color for fun colour changes. I find Directions less runny, so chose it this time for a messy red colour change!Easy to apply. I do it on damp hair with gloves, like applying a thorough conditioning mask, just because I hate messing about with brushes etc. I combed it through and piled on top my head and out a shower cap on. Left for about half an hour.I got a lovely shiny rich burgundy on the light brown parts and bright, deep fuchsia on my bleached lengths and lighter bits. HOWEVER, the water NEVER ran remotely clear and the colour was coming off on everything...clothes, bedding, face.Despite liking the colour I washed it about 8 times over a few days with dandruff shampoo to try and get the excess leaking colour off (maybe used too much colour? ??♀️).The darker parts have faded a fair bit, and the excess dye on my scalp has gone, the ends remain vibrant fuchsia. The transfer of colour has stopped a bit, but I still get some staining on clothes and bedding and the water is bright pink when I wash my hair. So, the colour and shine is gorgeous. I got a nice even result (I knew my bleached ends would be mega bright of course) However, I could only whole heartedly recommend if you never a) ☔ get caught in the rain b) ⛹️♀️work up a sweat c) ?♀️ swim d) like nice bedding. At the moment I have to carefully choose my clothing and activities! It's worth saying that most of this excess colour is probably coming from my bleached lengths as it's more porous of course, and if your hair is all previoisly undyed it probably won't be quite so dramatic. The dye does come off fairly well from most things btw, eventually, but don't risk your best white anything for goodness sake!!If you don't go into the great outdoors/swim and never intend on getting sweaty, then no problem! ?Please tap "Helpful" ⬇️ if my review has been useful or interesting.Thank you! ? Anwendung.Beide Bilder unten sind die 2. Anwendung. Aber okay, nächstes mal einfach mit Spülung mischen :-)I spent a fortune on this dye only for it to half work ,I did everything right , my hair was bleach blonde and now look at it ! Half purple with green and brown ! How is that possible ? I'm so upset I spent so much money on this only to have my hair ruined! Very unhappy I'm sat cryingI usually use lilac and dip dye my ends with pink, but decided to go up to the roots this time. I have naturally grey hair and this covers it wonderfully, ready easy to blend colours In to each other. I used pink hair drops mixed with conditioner from another make on the top, and used the new Wisteria colour on my ends, it's a really pale grey purple, almost like a toner so had to go over again with Antique Mauve, still a really pale pastel purple which is what I wanted this time, when I want a vibrant purple I go for Lilac, it's a stunning colour. This brand never disappoints,
