This pan cooks really well. Great heat distribution. Would love to build up a whole set of these pans eventually.GREAT USA made quality at a cost lower that most junk you but at Macy's or big box stores.Let me start off by saying that I am not a world class chef and I don't usually spend a lot of time learning to cook. However it is a passion I am starving to sink my teeth into. I love to cook meats and vegies and often times end up doing them at the same time. I usually grill as much as possible except when the weather is awful, then I like to come in and use my mediocre pots and pans I picked up at bed bath and beyond. Well I think I will be cooking indoors from now on as I have recently picked up this pan and discovered how easy it is and sturdy it is compared to the other pans I own. I was a believer in non-stick black coating, but after a little while that coating comes off and the pan looks ridiculous. Well I must say I have cooked some mighty delicious meals in my time and had to let the pots soak so I could get all the nastiness off. Well not any more. This stainless pot has opened new doors, EG new foods that I can cook and new recipes to try because all I have to do is throw this bad boy in the dishwasher when I'm done and not worry about soaking or scrubbing. That alone is what has sold me on it.When I ordered this pan I assumed like all my other AMAZON orders that it would take a few days to process and a few days shipping. So you can imagine my surprise when the same day that I placed my order I got the email advising me my product had shipped along with a tracking number. 3 days later I opened the most protective packaging I have ever seen and took out my new shinny pan. I right away decided I would cook some shrimp for dinner and got to work. I placed butter in the pan and placed it on my electric top stove. The butter melted very quickly and did not burn, then I added a little lemon juice, some white wine and began to steam my shrimp. They came out fantastic. I left the pan on the stove top and left it. I came back to a greasy mess. So I put the pan whole right into the dishwasher and let it run. When it was done out came a sparkling clean pan, like I had never used it. I then decided the next night to cook some steak with soy sauce and Worchester sauce. I had some stainless steel pots in the past that stained, and never went back to normal. So I was a little skeptical about trying it again, But when the meal was over I put the pan in the dishwasher, ran it with a ton of other stuff and wouldn't you know it came out perfectly. My experience with this pan, and with the company as a whole has been amazing. I recently moved into my house and as most people do I was frugal while buying utensils and cooking devices. Recently we had started to transition our kitchen from Walmart worthy crap, to high end royalty items. With all my shopping done on amazon it's nice to have a company that provides outstanding products at good prices!I ordered the USA Pans 8-Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot with 10-Inch Lid Cover because I was in search of a quality pot to use to make my tomato sauce and meatballs. Specifically, I wanted to replace my previous pot for something a little larger, and that would cook a little more evenly. I am pleased to say that I made the right choice in purchasing this product.I was more than impressed when I received the USA Pans 8-Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot in the mail. First, I love the fact that Healthy Home and Kitchen (the seller from whom I purchased) sold this via Amazon Prime. It was delivered to my door two days after I ordered it, which made me happy. It was packaged nicely, without any damage or excess material. Secondly, it is a beautiful pot. Things like this don’t usually excite me, but the stainless steel is, in fact, stainless. It was shiny, and unmarred by any blemishes. I love the fact that the pot comes with cleaning instructions, so I can keep it looking so pretty. (By the way, I had no idea that you should only add salt to pasta water once it’s boiling in order to avoid white spots!) Despite the fact that this pot is obviously a high-quality product, it is lightweight (which is helpful when carrying a full pot of boiling water to the sink).Using the pot for my tomato sauce and meatballs worked out beautifully. It turned out well, and the sauce didn’t bubble out of the pot and onto my stove, which is why I wanted a new pot in the first place. The sauce didn’t burn to the bottom as much as it did in the pot I had before, either. So far, I have also used the pot to cook pasta, soup, and corn on the cob, and it worked just as well for each of those dishes.Cleaning up was very easy. Anything that does wind up being burnt onto the bottom of the pot comes off very easily after just a short soak. All that is needed is a regular sponge to wipe the debris away. Perhaps the best part of cleaning this pot is that it can go into the dishwasher (and comes out as good as new)! My other, quite expensive Calphalon pot can’t do that, as it’s hand wash only!My one wish is that they could figure out a way to prevent the handles from getting hot while cooking. It’s just an inconvenience (an minor one) to always need a potholder to remove the pot from the stove. Somehow, I always wind up forgetting this step and burning my hands.Despite this one complaint, the USA Pans 8-Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot has found it’s way into my regular cooking repertoire, and is quickly becoming my go-to pot. It fits all of my needs (especially the easy clean up part!), and therefore, I feel it’s well worth the money I spent on it.I purchased this pot because I’m an empty nester adjusting to cook for two. I don’t understand why 3 qt stock pot is far more difficult to find, vs the sauce pan (with long handle)? I’d say it blends in with my high end 5 ply stainless steel cook set.Sparkles & shine with the rest. Cooks just as well. Easy to clean.I had done a lot of research on waterless cooking before buying this product which claims it to be waterless. I tried waterless cooking several times with various settings on induction and always ended up burning the bottom layer. As a normal 5 ply pan its not worth the money. I may as well buy a 3 ply cookware or a good impact bottom cookware.LOVE this pot - but it's so beautiful, I won't let anyone else use it. I don't trust anyone will take the proper care of it, and I want to have it forever! GREAT productNice steel, nice pan...very good thermo conductivityWonderful,5 ply matetial. worth the price
